To avoid Flooding, Oorelope Local Government Council Begins Dredging Of Obada River

Dredging of the Obada River in the local government has begun, according to Honorable 

Jacob Oluwale Ogundiran, chairman of the Oorelope local government area in Oyo state.

This was said in a statement provided to reporters by the chairman’s media section on 

Wednesday.

According to report, the chairman said the dredging is to clear the water way and allow easy flow of water.

Ogundiran said this will help prevent flooding as the raining season approaches.

While thanking the good people of Oorelope local government area for their support since the commencement of his administration, he urged them to continue praying for the Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration in the state.

His words:

“We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our people, and the dredging of Obada river is a critical step towards preventing flooding and ensuring easy flow of water. We will continue to work tirelessly to protect our people and their properties.

“I want to thank the good people of Oorelope local government area for their unwavering support since the beginning of our administration. Let us continue to pray for the success of Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration.

“As we approach the raining season, it is essential to take proactive measures to prevent flooding. We are dedicated to delivering on our promises and improving the lives of our people.”
